Description

Bring home a delightful slice of Goan humour and culture with these Fine Art Prints featuring Philu, the iconic Goan-themed comic cartoon character created by Goan artist Sharin Bhutani. Full of colourful illustrations, witty observations and playful storytelling, each artwork captures the unmistakable charm, quirks and everyday adventures of Goa through Philu’s amusing encounters with the people around her.

Philu is a character who lives life on her own terms, always ready with her iconic advice and her favourite remedy for life’s troubles — Feni, Goa’s traditional alcoholic beverage made from cashew apples. Whether she is navigating everyday situations, sharing her unconventional wisdom with strangers or finding humour in the most unexpected moments, Philu brings a distinctly Goan perspective to every story. By her side is her beloved black cat, Nobi, who accompanies her through her many adventures. Adding another layer of mischief is a watchful crow that seems to notice all her activities and is never shy about expressing itself with a colourful vocabulary.

Every print is a humorous celebration of Goan life, local traditions, familiar characters and the wonderfully unpredictable situations that make the state so unique. Each artwork is presented in a sturdy cardboard frame, offering a neat and practical way to display the print on a wall. The framed format makes it a charming addition to a living room, study, office, holiday home or creative space. These prints also make thoughtful souvenier gifts for art lovers, collectors of quirky illustrations, Goan culture enthusiasts and anyone who enjoys a touch of local humour in their home. These prints capture a playful side of Goa through satire, storytelling and memorable characters. With Philu’s Feni-inspired advice, Nobi’s quiet companionship and the ever-observant, outspoken crow, each artwork offers a little glimpse into a world where everyday encounters become extraordinary comic adventures.
